    Scott Werner PT, ATC

    Scott was born and raised in West Texas attending 3A high school and continuing on through junior college and concluding post graduate studies at Texas Tech. He has excelled in treating patients for over 2 decades in varied PT settings. Whole body wellness and posture corrections to prevent ongoing pain in the patients we serve, is his desire. We do not expect to see patients long-term but rather quickly resolve issues to keep patients happy and healthy. Scott's free time revolves strongly around his kids and friends. Otherwise; you'll find him at the lake, on the golf course or drag racing.

    Brent McElfresh PT, DPT, OCS

    Brent, a Stephenville, Texas native, has been part of the Big Country community since 2016. He earned a Bachelor’s in Exercise and Sports Studies from Tarleton State in 2011 and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Texas State in 2014. Specializing in orthopedics, Brent obtained his certification in 2022 and has pursued advanced training in outpatient orthopedics. He loves building rapport with patients and helping them succeed in sports, recreation, and life. Outside of work, Brent enjoys time with his wife, their two kids, playing golf, and relaxing with family and friends.

    Matt McCreary PT, DPT, OCS

    Matt, originally from Amarillo, Texas, moved to the Big Country in 2018 after practicing PT in South Carolina and San Antonio. He earned a Bachelor’s in Kinesiology from West Texas A&M in 2008 and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from TTUHSC in 2012. Specializing in orthopedics since 2018, Matt also holds a Dry Needling certification. He collaborates with TTUHSC’s DPT Program as an APTA Clinical Partner and Faculty Liaison for the Abilene region. Outside of work, Matt enjoys time with his wife, Chelsea, their five children, and their hobby farm.

    Emily Whitehurst, PT, DPT

    Emily was born in San Angelo Texas where she went to school in a small neighboring town. She went to undergraduate school at Texas State University to obtain her Bachelor's degree in Exercise and Sports Science. She worked for two years in Austin as a rehab technician and front office manager before applying to PT school. She obtained her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Angelo State University. She enjoys helping patients achieve their goals whether they are recovering from an injury, surgery, or general aches and pains. Emily enjoys spending her free time with her friends and family, reading, or browsing antique stores.

    Kelly Bontke

    Office Manager

    Kelly was born and raised in Abilene, Texas. She has worked in the medical field for over 20 years and has a deep passion for helping others. Kelly is an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and loves spending time with friends and family. She has one amazing son, Matthew, and a wonderful husband, David.
